Karl Ehmer Butcher Shop Receives Patchogue Pride Award

Long-standing butcher shop recognized for new sign, building improvements.

Steven Fahner, owner of the butcher shop, received a Patchogue Pride award at Monday's Village Board of Trustees meeting at for improvements to his shop's building.

"I appreciate the gesture that the Village made by offering the BID's improvement award to enable me to renovate the front of Karl Ehmer’s, which has been here for 46 years, and thank you to Dennis Smith, Mayor Paul Pontieri and [Trustee] Stephen McGiff," Fahner said.

The new sign replaces the store's previous marquee and fits the brick color scheme of the front of the shop.
