At about 3 p.m. Sunday, Brookhaven Town supervisor Mark Lesko lifted issued for Cedar Beach, Strong's Neck, Port Jefferson, Patchogue and other areas, with the exception of Mastic Beach.
"Cedar Beach, Strong's Neck, and Port Jefferson look like they are no longer subject to flooding," Lesko told Patch, "I'm lifting the evacuation and people can return to those areas, with the exception of Mastic Beach."
Lesko urged residents to use caution, however, because standing water, downed trees and affected power lines still pose hazards.

Basically, if the dog is barking for more than 15 continuous minutes, it's a violation subject to a fine. Call public safety at 475-1225. Keep in mind it's probably not their first priority (unless the dog has a bad attitude, and is carrying a weapon), but they will be responsive, eventually.
