LI Cares Food Drive Collecting Post-Sandy Items

Items can be dropped off at Leg. Calarco's office.

A food drive collecting non-perishable post-Hurricane Sandy items is ongoing for the next two weeks.

According to a flyer sent to Patch by the office of Leg. Rob Calarco, items that are urgently needed include household cleaning supplies, toiletries, baby diapers, paper goods, pet food and new blankets.

Items will be accepted through March 28 and can be dropped off at Calarco's office at 90 West Main Street, Suite 2N in Patchogue.

The food drive is being sponsored by LI Cares and Calarco. Those with questions can call 631-854-1400.
