Pat-Med Library Budget Passes, Trustee Elected

Budget is a 1.68 percent tax increase.

Patchogue-Medford Library's annual budget passed as a result of Tuesday's budget vote and trustee election.

The budget, which is a 1.68 percent tax increase with a .60 percent increase in operational costs from the previous year, passed with 296 votes approving to 131 votes against.

Also, in the trustee election, Eleanor Ryder won her unopposed election with 364 votes for a term lasting through 2018.
