A new Fall Festival is being organized for Patchogue Village in October.

The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce's Business Promotion committee is organizing the Patchogue Fall Festival for Oct. 26, which Lori Belmonte of the Chamber said at Monday's Village Board of Trustees meeting at Patchogue Village Hall would take place from 12 p.m.-5 p.m.

While details are being worked out, Belmonte said that the festival may have hay rides, a parade, kids in costumes, chili contest, antique farm equipment and possibly a scarecrow contest between Patchogue Village and Bellport Village.

"Things of that nature to bring people to Main Street and hopefully showcase some of the businesses there," Belmonte said.

She said some vendors would be involved but not many, and the event would be kid-friendly and alcohol-free.
