Meeting today! Despite the forecast for bad weather today the Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. The big issue is raising height limits in the E Industrial district that hugs the riverfront but also extends into other parts of the village as well. There will be two opportunities for the public to particpate at this meeting. First will be several public hearings one of which will be about the height restriction (lifting building height from 45 to 60 feet). In addition expect the usual business of the Board; bill payment, reports (possible report from the village's outside parking consultant on current parking initiatives), and reports and resolutions from the trustees. The meeting ends with the public portion at which time any resident may address the Board about issues of concern. The last meeting, which went rather quickly and did not have any public hearings or extensive reports, lasted about 90 minutes with the public addressing the Board near 7 p.m. It is unknown at this point whether the Board will vote on the proposed changes to the E Industrial district tonight. It can, or it might wait to do so another day.
