Patchogue Village Storm Water Committee Meeting Sept. 27

Meeting to focus on improving Village's water quality.

Patchogue Village's Stormwater Committee will be meeting at Patchogue Village Hall on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m.

The committee is part of the Village's Clean Water Initiative to protect the quality of life and quality of water in Patchogue Village's boundaries, and was formed in April by Village trustee Joe Keyes and Department of Public Works Superintendent Joe Dean.

At the upcoming meeting, Mark Capellino of Cornell Cooperative will give a presentation on what residents can do this Fall to improve the quality of water.

Other intiatives the committee are currently doing are "The Great South Bay Starts Here" campaign, public outreach via signage, brochures and booths at last summer's Great South Bay Music Festival and Alive After Five.
