This question might be more than a tad late, but were any parts of the theater up for auction? The sign that faces Main Street, seats, the popcorn popper? It might have raised a few bucks to defray the demolition cost.

Since it has been 26 yrs or more since this place was open, has ANYONE prepared for the rodents that will be running for their lives??? I am VERY GLAD to see this place get torn down, BUT I am very serious about what I am saying. ANYONE who lives near there will be dealing with the DROVES of rodents that will be running out of there.

"WELL" NOW the DEED is Done. The Ole-Gal has come down. It is with a small tear in my eye, "I" say good bye. The Plaza Theater was my first-1st-full time job as assistant manager in Patchogue high school work program. NOW that whole corner is GONE. The 399-East main street next door ( GOLDEN-BLDG) where I grew "UP" for years going to school. AND across the street where T&S-Lumber was. Oh those were the GOOD years. BUT "NOW" It becomes " HISTORY ". Thanks "PATCHOGUE"
