Tonight those residents concerned about placement of "food trucks" in the village should appear and express their opinions. This resolution is fall out from the Flo's on the Go fiasco where that food truck was going to be located close to a residential area against the wishes of nearby neighbors. It was stopped mostly because of the lack of a clear direction in the village code. What is now being proposed ought to be of interest and people ought to comment now while they still have a chance to shape events. Also welcome news that the village is considering increasing the fine for illegal parking in fifteen minute zones. Those zones are needed to speed shoppers in and out of stores allowing those stores to stay in business. Apparently the fine is so low now that people are considering payment of the fine just a parking fee for hours of illegal parking. Upping the fine to where it hurts should discourage that practice. Better still would be agressive towing of all illegally parked cars particularly at night where illegal parking also creates traffic concerns.
