Village Parking Meter Comments Can Be Sent To Special Email

Comments on upcoming meters being accepted through Aug. 6.

Patchogue Village Hall is accepting comments from anyone with opinions regarding the parking meters coming to Patchogue Village this Fall.

The Village made a special email account announced on its website, which is parkingmeters@patchoguevillage.org, through which anyone can send their written comments.

Additionally, written comment on paper can be hand-delivered or mailed to the Patchogue Village Clerk's office in Patchogue Village Hall, 14 Baker St., Patchogue.

Comments will be accepted through Aug. 6, which was announced at the July 22 Patchogue Village Board of Trustees meeting.

As previously reported, most parking spaces in Patchogue Village will remain free, but Main Street and an unknown number of spots in several parking lots will be under the meter system when it rolls out sometime in the Fall. The meters' rates were announced July 22, and consist of 25 cents per half hour or $5 flat rate for a full night. Additionally, some spaces will likely be free during the day, but metered at night. Village residents are currently announced as being able to park free in any parking lot using a special sticker, but all residents regardless of where they live will have to pay to park on Main Street.

Feel free to also add your thoughts on parking meters coming to Patchogue Village in the comments section below this article. While comments there are not official ones that will be necessarily read by Village Hall, residents are free to use it to talk about the topic amongst each other.
