Peppercorn Cafe

Just recently, I was told how great Peppercorn Cafe is. So my husband and I decided to hit it up this Sunday and we are both less than impressed. First, we sit at the bar and order 2 Harpoon IPA's...kicked, strike 1. We then order 2 Sam's Boston lager's...kicked, strike 2. Ok, ok, lets get 2 Toasted Lager's from our own BP brewery. Delicious and cold. Ok, maybe they're redeeming themselves. Nope, we order, burger and fries for him, veggie Panini with tots for me. Mmmm...tots. Oh, no tots? Strike 3. My pickle laid on a bed of the absolute worst pieces of lettuce, my husbands tomato looked like it was in the sun for an hour all wrinkled and dry. By the way, that's strike 4 and 5. Then, I ask my husband, how's the burger? Because my veggie Panini is great! Oh, the bun is totally stale and larger than the burger. Strike 6. Needless to say, we were less than satisfied, but at least they bought 2 of our beers for us being that the first 2 choices were kicked. Maybe it's better on a Friday night, but we were less than thrilled with our $40 lunch. 2 and a half thumbs down, and that's because my one thumb is paralyzed and my husband is missing half of one. So that's all we have working between us...Anyone else go to Peppercorn and have a better experience? Please tell me about it.
