Saturday, July 30, 2011 Bellport Day Festival & Clothesline Art Show

The Bellport Day Festival will be held on Saturday, July 30th on Bellport Lane and Main Street. The festival will have all the excitement of a NYC street festival. There will be live bands all day, a craft fair at the Bellport Firehouse, a dunk tank (dunk the Mayor, postmaster and (your) principal) and pony rides and a petting zoo and an ice cream eating contest! The event includes free Rock Climbing Wall, face painting and balloon twisting. Spin the wheel for prizes and gift certificates to local merchants. Admission to the festival is free.

And for a Vintage twist on the traditional Art Walk, local artists and students have donated original works of art to be hung throughout Main Street for a Clothesline Art Show. They may be purchased for $20 each, and the proceeds of the sale will go to support future art programs for Bellport. The Art Walk is sponsored by the Brookhaven Arts & Humanities Council (BAHC), the South Bay Art Association (SBAA), Bellport Chamber of Commerce and the Phoenix Fine Art Gallery.
