BOE Budget, Business Meetings Listed For May

Patchogue-Medford School District has released its May schedule for meetings including those for the 2013-2014 budget and Board of Education votes.

First, a budget hearing during which the proposed $167 million budget will be presented to the public will take place Thursday at South Ocean Middle School, 225 South Ocean Avenue in Patchogue, at 7 p.m.

The Board of Education Business Meeting for May will take place Monday, May 13 at South Ocean, with public meeting starting at 6 p.m. for the possible (ie: likely) purpose of entering into executive session with public session resuming at 7:30 p.m. Immediately following that meeting will be a public budget information session.

Voting for the proposed budget and Board of Education candidate election is taking place Tuesday, May 21. District polling places will be open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. at five polling places. The results will be announced that night at Saxton Middle School, 121 Saxton Street, at 9:30 p.m.
