BOE Extends Locantore's Contract Through 2015

Superintendent will stay with Pat-Med for an additional year than previously signed.

Patchogue-Medford Superintendent Michael Locantore will stay with the district at least through 2015.

Board of Education President Thomas Donofrio told Patch Monday that the Board has added an additional year to his contract.

The Board was not ready to disclose salary numbers or other information regarding the renewal, but trustees did say that Locantore is likely one of the lowest paid superintendents in the area. According to state documents, Locantore earned a base salary of $224,000 for the 2011-12 school year.
