Documentary On Lucero Murder Coming to Patchogue

Film will screen at St. Joseph's College and Patchogue-Medford Library.

The documentary film, "Deputized," which takes another perspective on the 2008 murder of Ecuadorean immigrant Marcelo Lucero in Patchogue, will be having local screenings at St. Joseph's College and Patchogue-Medford Library.

The film will play at the college on Tuesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. in the McGann Conference Room with a Q&A session with the filmmakers to follow.

The library's screening will be on Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m., and will also have a Q&A session.

Both screenings are free.

"Deputized" is the second film on the Lucero tragedy to come to Patchogue after PBS's "Not In Our Town: Light In The Darkness" played at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in 2011.
