Celebration of Diversity

Tremont Elementary School will be hosting its annual Celebration of Diversity.  Each classroom has adopted a country and will display artifacts throughout the halls representing their learning.  There are thirty-two countries represented with a wide range of student projects.  On the evening of the event, children will be given passports representing each of the countries, and members of our peer leadership club will be on hand at each country to stamp the passports as students make their visits around the building.  This event highlights the diversity of our student population and celebrates the various traditions honored around the world.  In addition, music representing different cultures will be played throughout the building as the families tour the countries.  The building will be charged with positive energy as everyone embraces the colorful displays and general feeling of unity.  This event provides an opportunity to appreciate and value the varying cultures that are representative of our students and families in the Tremont community.
