Last Chance: BOE Election Petitions Due At 5 P.M.

Applications for open Board of Education seats due 5 p.m. Monday to the school district office.

Want to run for a Patchogue-Medford School District Board of Education position? You have until 5 p.m. Monday to get petitions into the district office.

The seats currently occupied by trustees Thomas Donofrio and Donald Adkins are up for election this year, said district clerk Dennis Logan to Patch.

According to the Patchogue-Medford School District website, the two terms for the winning candidates will commence on July 1, 2013 and end on June 30, 2016.

This year the election will be at-large, meaning the top two vote getters out of all possible candidates will win the seats.

The school district's website says any questions regarding the election can be directed to the Office of the District Clerk at 631-687-6370 and the Patchogue-Medford School District administration office is at 241 South Ocean Avenue in Patchogue.
