Photos: Medford Elementary's Woodland Tribes Day

Fourth-grade students set up projects about the Iroquois and Algonquin native americans.

The fourth grade classes at Medford Elementary School recently held their Woodland Tribes Day.

The children in Ms. Ricciardi, Ms. Gluckman, Ms. Felice and Mrs. MacDevitt's classes each did a presentation on either the Iroquois or Algonquin tribes, where they made a display and speech.

The presentations were on display in the hallways and classrooms.

Students built models of longhouses, wigwams and demonstrated how native american clothing was made among other demonstrations.

Check the photos for highlights from Woodland Tribes Day.

As a mom of two former Medford students, I especially enjoy the extra effort made to make the lessons more fun. Another excellent project from the types of teachers we need more of. Nice job Ms. Ricciardi.
