PMCT Wins NYSUT Journalism Awards
The Patchogue-Medford Congress of Teachers won several awards for their publications.
The (PMCT) recently won six honors from the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) organization for their work in labor journalism.
The organization won awards for Best Union News Story, Best Website, Solidarity Award for Speak Out, Best Opinion Writing, Best Profile and Best Publication-Community Newsletter.
The webmaster of PMCT's website is Kathy Bucaria, who works with Christina Paino, its editor, and Ellen DiFazio, its graphic artist, said a press release issued by NYSUT.
