PMHS Students Get Funding for Fish Thicket

students that have been working on the Fish Thicket Preserve have received funding from Cornell to continue their work.

The students recently submitted a proposal titled "Fish Thicket Conservation Awareness Project 2012 Proposal" with Kelsey White, Environmental Program Coordinator for the Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County.

The proposal was presented to Karen Purcell, of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and was accepted.

The students will be putting the funding to create a bird sanctuary in the Fish Thicket.
