Reminder: Pat-Med BOE Business, Budget Meeting Monday

Two Patchogue-Medford School District Board of Education meetings, one for May Business and the other to discuss the proposed $167 million 2013-2014 budget are taking place Monday night at South Ocean Middle School, 225 South Ocean Avenue in Patchogue.

The first, a Board of Education Business Meeting which starts at 6 p.m. for the possible purpose of entering into executive session, (which regularly is the case) with public session resuming at 7:30 p.m. The agenda for the meeting, which can be viewed on the district's website by clicking this link, includes a presentation of Medford Elementary Students in the second grade presenting research on marine animals.

The second, a public budget information session, will take place immediately following the business meeting.

Voting for the proposed budget and Board of Education candidate election is taking place Tuesday, May 21. District polling places will be open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. at five polling places. The results will be announced that night at Saxton Middle School, 121 Saxton Street, at 9:30 p.m.
