SJC Ribbon Cutting For Military, Veterans' Lounge Thursday

Lounge will be for military or veteran students at the college.

A Military and Veterans' Lounge will be having its ribbon cutting at St. Joseph's College's Long Island campus in Patchogue on Thursday.

The lounge is intended for use by military or veteran students who attend classes at the school.

“Currently, there are 183 military or veteran students enrolled at St. Joseph's College, and 116 are on the Long Island Campus alone,” said Shannon O’Neill, assistant dean for the School of Professional and Graduate Studies in a release. “The lounge is a place for those who have served or are currently serving our country, to find a quiet spot to study or to meet and get to know some of their fellow service members.”
