The Raiders struggled some during the season but were able to go 2-2 down the stretch to finish the season at 3-15 and 1-13 in league play.

Ahmad Williams had a strong season as the team’s leading scorer and played a key role in the team's victories. He scored a season high 31 points as the Raiders nearly pulled off a comeback road victory before falling to Commack 70-68.

Williams scored 23 points and Matt Vogel added six three-pointers and 20 points total in the Raiders only league victory this season over Ward Melville. His 24 points was a game high in the Raiders non-league win over Connetquot on Feb. 12.

Wrestling:

The Raiders had three wrestlers qualify for the Division I Suffolk County championship. Armani Hendrickson (125), Joe Clemente (215) and Patrick Sokol (285) all qualified and go on to the state championship.

The Raiders had a rough season in league matches but still had the bright spots of Hendrickson, Clemente and Sokol. Pat-Med hosted the League I finals and finished in sixth place with 93.5 points.

At the league finals Clemente and Hendrickson were in the championship finals, with Clemente defeating Brentwood’s Stevenson Jean-Gilles 6-0 and Hendrickson falling to Brentwood’s Alex Gomez 10-4.

Highlights From Coach Varley: "The Raiders Girls team had a great season, winning 13 matches, qualifying for the County Championships that were held in February at Sayville Lanes. Playing against the very best teams in League II this season, we split season matches with Longwood and Middle County, both of which were ranked in the Top 5 in Suffolk County this season. Sophomore Jessica Calandra participated in the County All-Star team at the All-State finals in Syracuse, NY on Sunday, and Senior Zue Bademci will make the All-County team by placing in the Top 15 in average this season in Suffolk County. The team had many bright spots this year, as many girls bested their personal high series and high games.

Led by strong leadership from Senior Samantha Kern, the team never lost focus and competed hard in every match. Returning bowlers Jennifer Arocho and Michelle Rodriguez continued their improvement all season, and the team got great efforts all season from seniors Shira Stoll, Taylor Llorens, Chelsea Rivera and Ashley Rodriguez. Newcomers Deanna Martin and Brittany Arne were consistent bright spots all season. The team looks to be in great shape for next season as well, as top scorer Jessica Calandra will be back, as well as Brittany Arne, Jennifer Arocho, Michelle Rodriguez and Deanna Martin.

Also, Senior. Zue Bademci signed a letter-of-intent to bowl on scholarship next season with local school for Coach Steve Tisman."
