Pat-Med Football Upsets Floyd

Varsity team improves to 2-1 on the season with overwhelming performance.

The Patchogue-Medford Varsity Football team improved to 2-1 over the weekend with a dominating upset victory at home against Floyd. The Raiders' QB Anthony Lee threw four touchdowns and Dom Casella scurried for two TDS en route to a 31-7 drubbing.

The Raiders also recovered two Floyd fumbles in the performance.

"The offensive line did a great job," offensive coordinator Mark Johnson told Newsday. "Lee didn't get touched all night."

After dropping its season opener to Connetquot, Patchogue-Medford has taken the last two games in dominating fashion, beating Brentwood 51-27 the week before this latest victory of perennial county champion favorite Floyd.

This Saturday the Raiders will travel to Setauket to play Ward Melville, who also sits at 2-1 on the season.
