PMHS Alum New Head Coach for SJC Men's Soccer

Timothy Trava is replacing the recently retired Gary Smith.

Timothy Trava, a class of 2000  graduate, has been appointed the new men's soccer coach for the ’s Golden Eagles. 

Trava will take over for the recently  next fall. Trava has previously served six seasons as an assistant coach on the men’s soccer staff.

“It is a real honor to be taking over for a coaching legend in Gary Smith. He has built a foundation here at St. Joseph’s and my goal is to continue that legacy,” Trava said in a release.

Trava graduated from the college in 2004, and had played on the men’s soccer team finishing with having scored 88 all-time goals with an average of 1.24 goals per game. Trava holds several score records for the team.

Currently, Trava works as a social studies teacher in the William Floyd School District.
