Raiders Lose Final Regular Season Game, Shut Out by William Floyd

With 27-0 loss, Pat-Med season ends at homecoming.

William Floyd shut out Patchogue-Medford, 27-0, at the Homecoming game on Saturday. This was the final football game of the season for the Raiders.

Hero: Senior Tyler Moston ran well during the game. The coaches say that he overcame many personal obstacles to play. They did not disclose the specifics. This was his only game of the season.

Turning Point: With two touchdowns scored before the end of the first quarter, that put Pat-Med in an early hole. The Raiders could not recover from there.

Quote: Looking towards next season, assistant coach Chris Robinson said, "We have a lot of good JV kids coming up to the high school next season. We will also still have a good line but a lot of our team is made up of seniors that will be leaving. The younger guys are going to have to step up."

Bottom Line: The Raiders played hard against the Colonials but were unable to recover from the early deficit. Floyd is one of the top teams in Division I and is the No. 2 seed heading into the Suffolk County. The rushing attack of Stacey Bedell and Luke Miller was too much for Pat-Med to handle. The Raiders finished the season 2-6, 12th out of 14 teams in Division I.
