Board Slows Pace of Revitalization

Video for the most recent meeting of the Patchogue Village Board of Trustees Meeting of 7/8/13. This video published on You Tube by the Citizens Campaign for Open Village Government a resident group of Patchogue Village citizens to provide public information to the voters and residents of the village.

If you wish to skip the narrative that follows you can see the video by going to the website for the Citizens Campaign at:

This video is a vast improvement over the last video. Our new camcorder recorded without some of the audio/sync issues that have flawed some of our earlier videos.

Also new section for this narrative and all to come. Sometimes lost in the mass of information that does come out at a meeting is some important information that would not be known unless the entire video was seen. So to summarize some important dates that came out of this meeting here are three:

7/17/13 Carnegie Library to be set on its permanent foundation at 3:30 p.m.

7/22/13 Public hearing at next village board meeting: parking meter plan including rates to be discussed and then approved by the Board

9/3/13 Projected date for parking meters to “go live” in the Village.

Looking at the video from left to right at the meeting table: Trustees Keyes, Crean, Ferb, Clerk Seal, Mayor Pontieri, Deputy Mayor Krieger, Trustees Devlin and Hilton, Village attorney Egan.

This meeting lasted more than an hour and a time line is provided as follows to allow any viewer to go to any section of the video that they would like instead of viewing all of the video if that is the choice.

To follow the agenda it can be found at the village website:

www.patchoguevillage.org/

And village residents are also reminded that the village website does permit email communication with all members of the Board. While responses are up to each individual member of the Board including the Mayor a resident can least register an opinion or ask a question of any one or all members of the Board. On menu (left side of page) go to “About”, a drop down box appears then go to “elected and appointed officials” and email options appear. Patchogue Village bills itself as a progressive village and this option is in line with that value.
