PMHS Key Club cleans up Corey Beach

High school students provide a day of community service.

A clean up of Corey Beach in Blue Point was organized by the Patchogue-Medford High School's Key Club on Sunday. Armed with garbage bags and gloves, the students spent over an hour combing the beach for trash. The students cleaned up glass, food wrappers, soda bottles and cigarette butts that were left in the sand. While pollution is not normally a problem at Corey Beach, the students did fill several trash bags worth of garbage.

"It's good for the community. We love to be able to give back" said student Krista D'Ambrosio.
