Snow Creates Urgent Need For Blood, Patchogue Drive Tuesday

Blood and bone marrow registry drives taking place at Patchogue YMCA Tuesday.

Last week's snow storm has created an urgent need for blood donations due to New York Blood Center being forced to cancel several drives, said the organization's website.

A blood drive will be taking place at the YMCA Patchogue Family Center, 255 W. Main St. in Patchogue, Tuesday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

The center will also be holding a bone marrow registry drive at the same time as the blood drive.

Walk-ins are welcome for both drives. Anyone with questions on the bone marrow drive can contact Nicole at Nwolfset@giftoflife.org.
