WRCN Collects Food for Needy, Preps for Toy Drive

WRCN joined 1-800-Got-Junk for the "Stuff a Truck" event; radio station now prepping for Toy Drive Friday.

Local radio station WRCN recently teamed with 1-800-Got-Junk for its 8th Annual "Stuff a Truck" event for the holiday season. This event collects donated food items for underprivileged families throughout the Town of Brookhaven.

The staff at WRCN began the day-long event early at the station on Route 112 collecting a variety of non-perishable food items. Travelling to Stop & Shop in Riverhead, Super Stop & Shop in Shirley, Stop & Shop in Medford and Waldbaum's in Selden, they spent several hours at each location gathering donations from listeners and local shoppers.

They will be hosting their on Friday, Dec. 17.
