The first full work week of 2014, which also follows last week's eight inches of snow, features several meetings to start off the new year. Here are a few highlights, and feel free to add others in the comments below this post:

Fifth Precinct Open Community Meeting

The Suffolk County Police Department's Fifth Precinct will hold their January meeting on Tuesday at Patchogue-Medford Library, 54-60 E. Main St. in Patchogue, Wednesday at 7 p.m. Meeting will take place in Meeting Room A. Click the link for information on Patchogue-Medford Library's website.

Patchogue-Medford School District Board of Education Budget Workshop #1

The first workshop for the 2014-2015 academic year budget is taking place Monday at South Ocean Middle School, 225 South Ocean Ave. in Patchogue. The meeting will first start at 6 p.m., but for the likely purpose of going into executive session, and will resume at 7 p.m. for public session. The meeting is taking place in the conference room. Patchogue Village Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board will have a hearing at Patchogue Village Hall, 14 Baker St. in Patchogue, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Click the link for information on the village's website.

Live In The Lobby: Dead Love Dove, Zen Archer

Dead Love Dove and Zen Archer will perform in the lobby of the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets are $10. Click the link for information on Patchogue Theatre's website.

Patchogue Village CDA Meeting
