Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, Feast For Those In Need This Week

It may be a shorter week with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up Thursday, but there are several events to look out for leading up to it in the Patchogue area.

In particular, Patch has been hearing residents talk for weeks about the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service taking place Wednesday night at the Temple Beth El of Patchogue. If you have attended it before, talk about it in the comments below this post.

While Friday and Saturday events will be listed in the upcoming Weekend Guide later this week, Saturday is going to be packed between a Turkey Shoot putting contest at Shorefront Park at 10 a.m., Small Business Saturday sales on Main Street in Patchogue throughout the day and the Patchogue Holiday Parade at 6 p.m..

Knights of Columbus Blood Drive


The Knights of Columbus are holding a blood drive at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 510 Narrangansett Ave. in East Patchogue, starting at 1:45 p.m. on Monday.

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

Public Thanksgiving Day Feast

The Harrison Hale Community Cafe in Medford will be open from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. Thursday for a dinner open to those in need. According to a flyer sent out by Assemblyman Edward Hennessey's office, Bishop Harrison Hale will be hosting the dinner at 61 Shirley Lane in Medford. Transportation is available to the event by calling 631-698-8441. The event is sponsored by Christmas Magic & Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare in conjunction with Hennessey and Legislator Rob Calarco.
