What about Obamacare? He can file on his own and qualify for full subsidies. NY State can help ifRead More you file through their exchange with past medical bills. This program was designed to help people like him, take advantage of it!! If I am going to pay for someone and loose my doctor it might as will be for a legit local soul. Good Luck and don't be afraid to use your local state assemblyman and even Schumer to get what he needs. This is their job and they will readily help!!!

Once again, these are issues that far exceed the local level. One must look at the broader problemRead More to understand what is happening all over America. East Patchogue is just an "small town, USA." What's happening there is happening everywhere. Crime is on the rise due to a poor economy. Slum lords profligate, simply because they can, renting to dozens of people in one home, with no repercussions. Drug dealers freely pass over our southern borders without any resistance. Creating a Community Civic Association is a pre-emptive, pro-active response, but be careful, as we see what happened to Mr. Zimmerman. The climate of government in this country is not friendly to the lawful, but to the unlawful.

Glad to see the neighbors getting proactive. Sadly, as we increase housing density, we can't helpRead More but add to the area's social problems. The developers don't care; they don't live there. The electeds only see big $$$ rolling in. We need to learn from the mistakes that Patchogue has made before this becomes the story of Long Island. I still contend that every law-abiding, taxpaying, civilized American citizen should "get outRead More of Dodge" and leave the politicians with the cesspool they've created. Then it will be "them" and the "takers." And then what? Who's going to pay for all the building developers' projects when the lawful taxpayer has left town?....and there is no one else to foot the bill?

Something else to consider is that when a new light post gets knocked down by a vehicle or a treeRead More gets damaged they get replaced promptly

The building looks terrible. Focus east patchogue does a great job. Salvation Army is great but theRead More condition is terrible. I say remove the structure and make a park. The old blockbuster/ Finest is another antiquated structure remove that too and make another park. Remove Kentucky fried chicken. The other parking lot by friendly's should be finished and made another field/park etc. if anything will be put up it should some type of thriving retailer may which we desperately need. I also believe you need to remove the bus stop in front of the health center. Attracts an unfortunate crowd and is not pleasant or safe.
