UPDATE: Cops ID Body of Elderly Man Found Outside Patchogue Church

The unidentified man's body was found at around 2 p.m. Saturday, police said.

UPDATE: Nicholas MacQueen, 65, has been identified as the man whose body was found in Patchogue, police said.

The body of a 65-year-old man was found near a church in Patchogue on Saturday, June 28 at around 2 p.m., according to police.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of an unidentified man found outside the Emanuel Lutheran Church located at 179 East Main Street.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the man had been a victim of violence. An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
