Close Race For 4th Brookhaven Councilman Seat

Just 94 votes separate both candidates.

Challenging candidate Michael Loguercio, Jr., R-Ridge, and incumbent candidate Constance Kepert, D-Middle Island, are separated by just 94 votes in the race for the Brookhaven councilman 4th district seat, according to the Suffolk Board of Elections.

Loguercio has a slight lead with 50.01 percent and 4,309 votes to Kepert’s 49.41 percent and 4,215 votes. The results are not yet official as absentee ballots are yet to be counted.

The fourth district includes areas of Farmingville, Medford, Holtsville, Gordon Heights, Yaphank, Middle Island, Bellport and North Bellport among others in its contingency.
