Bret Michaels Returns to Patchogue: A Second Time Around

Bret Michaels is set to hit The Emporium this Sunday night to rock local fans for the second time in two years.

Bret Michaels is set to rock Patchogue for the second time in two years, and this time around he will be making his mark at The Emporium.

Some people say, "It's always better the second time around," and lately for Michaels it seems to be a new way of life for the rocker.

His first stop in Patchogue in 2011 brought him to town with a new lease on life after multiple health issues in 2010.  Now, Michaels has just finished a second-go at "Celebrity Apprentice," has his second reality show premering in May on the TravelChannel called, "Rock My RV," and on Sunday, April 7 he will be returning to Patchogue for the second time.

For one local resident, Lucienne Mannino of Selden, Michaels return holds a special place in her heart.  Mannino was MC host for Michael's last show in Patchogue.  Mannino, a DJ, and owner of Digital Mix DJ Entertainment said that one of her fondest memories of his last show in Patchogue was seeing how the crowd went wild for Michaels.

"When I announced Bret, the audience went wild.  Their energy level was very intense, unlike anything I have ever seen at a local concert.  They were really pumped up, excited to see Bret up-close and personal," said Mannino.

Fans coming out to see the show this Sunday could expect to feel the same intensity from Michaels with the help of the intimate setting at The Emporium, which opened in September 2012, and seems to have taken-off and running since day one.  Venue manager Neil Rubenstein said that acts like Bret Michaels coming to The Emporium have been great for their profile.

"There's been a better buzz as of late.  People are becoming more aware of our presence, our profile is growing quite a bit, and we're doing a lot more with the community and local businesses," said Rubenstein.

Mannino said she had the pleasure of meeting with Bret backstage when she hosted his show in 2011 and said that she was truly taken aback, and still is to this day, that a man with such fame could stay so grounded and hold so much love for his fans.

"Bret truly put his heart and soul into his last local performance.  I can guarantee you, Patchogue is in for one spectacular show this weekend," said Mannino.

People who are coming out to Sunday night's show will also have amenities available to them at The Emporium that could make for a class-act night out.  The Emporium offers a full-menu restaurant, as well as VIP Bottle Service during most shows.
