Aug. 28: Stay Inside for Irene, Hurricane News Roundup

Hurricane Irene is expected to reach Long Island Sunday morning. Here is a roundup of important information about the storm that you should know:

1. Officials are stating that if you have not already evacuated to stay where you are. However if you absolutely need to get to a shelter, , 177 Granny Rd. in Farmingville, is the closest one to the Patchogue area. Shelter is also available at  in Middle Island.
