Curtis Mayfield, James Brown covers were part of Hydroyum's act.

Hydroyum, sometimes know as The Hydroyum Sexytet of Patchogue , played at the Great South Bay Music Festival's Cultural Stage at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The band, formed in late 2004, has been featured in Patchogue Theatre's Live in the Lobby Series and played the Main Stage at last year's Great South Bay Music Festival.

Caleb Garby, one of the band's two guitar players said, "We're funk, rock, soul, a little bit of jam, some vocals, and a lot of crazy."
