What's happening today in Pat-Med

The Pat-Med Idol Semi-Finals, varsity boys basketball, easy computer classes and other library programs are five events happening today in the Patchogue and Medford area. Check back to Patchogue Patch Friday afternoon for the new weekly Patchogue Sounds music guide, listing all of the bands playing downtown Patchogue this weekend.

, Saxton Middle School, 121 Saxton St., Patchogue, 7 p.m.- 10 p.m.
Performers from Saxton, South Ocean and Oregon Middle Schools will compete in the semi-finals of the Pat-Med Idol competition. Steve Scarola, formerly of teen band “Push Play”, will host the competition with performances by Meadowland, Quiet Storm and WALK Radio.

, Patchogue-Medford High School, 181 Buffalo Ave., Medford, 6 p.m.
The Raiders will play Ward Melville at home. Find out what happened at

Computer Kindergarten and 1st Grade for Grownups, , 54 E Main St., Patchogue, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. respectively
Easy classes to learn how to use the computer. Will take place in the board room of the library.

Bilingual Story Time, , 31 Rider Ave, Patchogue, 4:30 p.m.
A story “peppered” in Spanish and a craft-making for families in the program room.

Legomania, , 31 Rider Ave, Patchogue, 6 p.m., 7:15 p.m.
Children grades 2-5 can build lego creations in the program room.
