Activities and events happening today in Patchogue and Medford.

The memorial ceremony for the two-year anniversary of the death of Marcelo Lucero at Railroad Avenue and Unity (Sephton) Street, a 60-piece band tribute to Veterans at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, Hebrew classes at Temple Beth El of Patchogue and a play at the Clare Rose Playhouse are what is happening in the Patchogue and Medford area for Sunday.

Classes in how to read Hebrew will be conducted at the Temple Beth El of Patchogue.

, Railroad Avenue and Sephton Street (now Unity Street), 3 p.m.
Memorial ceremony for the second anniversary of the death of Marcelo Lucero. The service will be at 3 p.m. and a community photograph will be taken at 4 p.m. to be used as part of the closing scene of the upcoming PBS film "Not In Our Town" airing in Fall 2011. A "Wall of Hope" will also be erected to display letters, drawings and pictures of hopeful changes for the future.

The 60-piece Sousa Symphonic Band will play a "Salute and Tribute to the Men and Woman of the United States Armed Forces." Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students and $25 for special seating.

, (Clare Rose Playhouse), 155 W Roe Blvd, Patchogue, 3 p.m.
The production of a Pulitzer Prize winning play about two writers; one a student who tries to benefit from and exploit the work of their mentor. General admission is $15; Students and seniors $12.
