Patchogue Veterinarian Wins Health Care Hero Award
Dr. David Hensen receive "Health Care Heroes" Award from Long Island Business News.
On November 10, David Hensen, DVM, DABVP Founder/President of the Patchogue Rotary Animal Assisted Therapy Program/PRAAT was named the winner of the Long Island Business News' "Health Care Heroes" Award in the category of Veterinary Hero.
The award ceremony took place at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, Long Island. As a diplomate of the prestigious American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Dr. Hensen is a specialist in the practice of companion animal veterinary medicine. He is also a long-time member of the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association (LIVMA); New York State Veterinary Medical Society (NYSVMS); the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA); and the American Veterinary Ultrasound Society.
Additionally, he is involved in many community and conservation organizations. Dr. Hensen and his wife of 25 years, Dr. Deirdre Hensen, DVM, are the proud practitioner-proprietors of the Paumanok Veterinary Hospital in Patchogue and between them have over 50 years of experience caring for pets.
