With plenty of property nestled along the waterfront, Patchogue provides some spectacular opportunities to relax at the end of the day.

And as the days grow colder, residents may want to catch a few last glimpses of the summer sunset before winter freezes the scene.

Patchogue Patch explored the Patchogue-Medford area recently on a quest to find the best location to watch the night fall.

And the verdict is in. For the best unobstructed views of the last light of day, head to the local beaches. Or, for a more elevated look, visit the new YMCA on West Main Street and take a peek from the second-floor patio.
