Knights of Columbus wins prize for best overall float.

Patchogue's 54th annual Fourth of July parade kicked off Wednesday.

Starting at West Avenue, hundreds of spectators watched as the participants proudly marched down Main Street.

"These are the best of the days of Patchogue," said Patchogue Village Mayor Paul Pontieiri. "It shows who we are, between the kids in the parade and the organizations that march, it is what a Village does."
