The Patchogue Fire Department held memorial services Monday at the fire department, AmVets Post 111 and the Patchogue Ambulance Company in honor of all military men and women who have or are currently serving.
Chief Joseph Perry said that the services have been held for at least 30 years. The services at the Fire Department honored military members as well as members of the department.
"We were honoring the servicemen and women today. We also wanted to remember the members in our department that we've lost over the past year - Al Salvitti, Robert Robertaccio, Ken Lowe, and Russell Gerard. We wanted to remember those four specially," Perry said.
