The communities of Patchogue, East Patchogue and Medford remembered the tenth anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks through memorial ceremonies and posting messages of hope.

The and held memorial ceremonies during the day, and the Medford Fire Department held a ceremony that night.

The Medford Chamber of Commerce also held a morning ceremony at the Medford Long Island Rail Road station.

The memorials featured performances of patriotic songs and the honoring of local residents that were victims in the attacks.

Messages of hope were also posted at the by residents onto ribbons that were attached to the steel fence behind the church.
