Post Office, Buses Close For Jan. 2; LIRR Open
Local institutions and some public transportation closed for the day after New Year's Day.
, many local institutions remain closed Monday, Jan. 2.
Those closed include ,, the Patchogue-Medford School District, the Suffolk County Transit (SCT) bus system and the US Post Office locations in Patchogue and Medford.
The Long Island Rail Road will operate on a normal weekday schedule.
