Haunted Pirate Voyage Starts Sailing Patchogue River Friday

Voyage combines live actors, filmed footage and an element of disorientation from sailing on a boat with the windows blacked out.

A chilling boat ride down the Patchogue River is the setting for the Haunted Pirates Voyage that starts sailing from the Off Key Tikki, 31 Baker Place in Patchogue, Friday.

The voyage combines live actors, filmed footage and an element of disorientation from sailing on a boat with the windows blacked out, according to a Oct. 10 article in The Long Island Advance describing the ghoulish attraction’s dress rehearsal.

Mindy Skura, executive director of the show, told Patch in an email that proceeds are going to support Hope House Ministries.

Voyages are departing hourly from Oct. 18-Nov. 2, with Fridays running from 7 p.m.-12 a.m., Saturdays 6 p.m.-12 a.m., Sundays 2 p.m.-8 p.m., and Oct. 30-31 6 p.m.-12 a.m. Day of show costs for tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for kids, with a $2 dollar discount for ordering in advance from their ticket website.

Watch a Youtube trailer of the event featuring a potentially haunting wedding ceremony in the media gallery. More information is also on the attraction's Facebook Page.

Updated Oct. 18 at 7:03 p.m. as the first voyage is Friday and not Thursday as previously reported erroneously.
