South By South Shore Festivities This Week

The first "South by South Shore" cultural celebration is taking place in Patchogue Village throughout this week.

According to the festival's website, it celebrates the arts in Patchogue by coordinating various events throughout the Village. The festival is being presented by the Patchogue Arts Council.

A full schedule of all of the shows can be found by clicking here, and events are scheduled at Brickhouse Brewery, Plaza Cinema and Media Arts Center, Roast Coffee and Tea Trading Company, Bobbique, The Tap Room, 89 North Music Venue and Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.

In addition, a New Orleans-style Sidewalk Promenade is scheduled from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. starting at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts and ending at the Brick House Brewery. Costumes are encouraged for this event.
