Patchogue Chamber Names New Executive Director

David Kennedy announced in Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce newsletter as new executive director.

A new executive director has been named for the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce after former executive director Gail Hoag’s retirement in April.

According to the June 2013 Chamber Newsletter emailed Thursday, David Kennedy has been appointed the new full-time Executive Director for the chamber.

“David has an immense amount of passion for the Greater Patchogue area, he is very familiar with the community and wants to focus on the strengths that Greater Patchogue has to offer and is able to understand the needs of the business community,” wrote chamber president Jacqueline Hensley in the newsletter. “David’s mission is to see how our Chamber can serve its’ members better and will be working with our Executive Committee and Board of Directors to develop new programs to benefit our members and the community.”

Patch has left voicemails with both Kennedy and the Chamber for comment and will update after hearing back.

According to the newsletter, Kennedy has previously been a Patchogue Village trustee from 1996 to 2000, created the Patchogue Riverfront Redevelopment Plan while in that office and is a long standing civic member of the chamber previously serving on its board of directors and executive board among other positions.
