Update 8/31/2011, 11:15 a.m.: The Sept. 23rd date was not approved by the Fifth Precinct and the final Alive After Five is cancelled announced an email from the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce Wednesday morning.
The final for 2011 was tentatively scheduled to finally take place on Sept. 23 pending approval from the Suffolk County police's Fifth Precinct said an email from the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.
The event was supposed to take place on Friday, but was delayed in order to mobilize emergency services for Tropical Storm Irene.
